During my senior year of my undergraduate studies, I worked as a research/data assistant for a PhD student/instructor within the University of Illinois Economic’s department for one of the classes offered within the department after having completed the course myself. In collaboration with 2 other assistants, the PhD student and us worked on creating a causal effect bookdown detailing much of the different analytical methods that were discussed in the class as well as the corresponding code, outputs, and datasets/findings that served as the practical application for these methods from real-world studies. It was an enriching experience that exposed me to numerous statistical methods that can be applied not just in the academic setting but any scenario that involves having to find the effect of something or observe trends in a large data set.
The bookdown can be viewed by accessing this link here.
